Providing an application demonstration for Watt-Depot.

Background

With the current environmental issues of global warming and the Greenhouse Effect, everyone is talking about going Green. The main cause of these issues is the burning of more and more CO2-releasing fossil fuels for energy, shifting the carbon emission levels out of balance. This site is dedicated to helping smart energy consumers to have a better understanding of Oahu's power grid and encourage greener consumer behaviors that will reduce the carbon intensity level and create a cleaner future.

Information

WattDepot is designed to provide feedback about the energy, power, and carbon issues from a power meter as well as sensor data and background information. With WattDepot-Apps, a user can see the potential implementation of the WattDepot system in a User Interface with feedback in many different forms. These forms provide different benefits and can be used in different ways.

Visualizer

Provides a potential way of taking information from WattDepot and presenting it to a user using Google Visualization. Currently forwards information selected using wicket to a query to gain information from WattDepot then displayed with Google Visualization. Allows selection of multiple sources and data types over a period of time, which is then put in one compiled visualization.

Monitor

Provides a potential up to date display of Energy Meter statistics in real time. Currently allows the selection of a source and and interval to check that source for updates to display. Provides a permalink to a specified setting for monitoring.
